Mapperuo, those HD shots are amazing. Thanks so much!

I can't wait to see the high-res photos. Hopefully we'll have them by tomorrow night! :)

Discovery's undocking & flyaround is currently in a very prominent location on the BBC News frontpage. It's just sad that the mainstream media are only starting to take an interest now that the program is coming to an end.

If anyone can remember to the far back land of 2007, anyone remember how the Paris Hilton-Jail media coverage completely overshadowed the STS-117 shuttle launch on the same day. Heck, Buzz Aldrin went on Fox News and told them to get some coverage of it.

Local news, particularly cfnews13, have always been very good in covering shuttle events for a Media outlet though.

Needless to say, but this half of the footage is a tad out of focus.  ;)

These cameras have auto-focus, which never works properly.  You should set the focus on infinity for critical video.

Slightly late to post this. Longish-exposure of Discovery ahead of the ISS (which has the much brighter track).

22 second exposure, this is a snip of about 1/4 of the full frame.

I last saw Discovery from here (north Wales) after launch on STS-128, just thankful to the weather Gods that I got to say farewell for now.

In some parts of Europe, the "dynamic duo" was visible even on two passes, though the second one was quite low above the horizon, but the sky was nice and cristal clear on both passes. It was such an amazing and awesome sight to see the two-spaceship formation.

Here are three pictures I took:
- First one is from the first pass, with the two moving up.
- Second pass was really low, but thanks to that I managed to get the moon in the frame as well.
- Third pic shows Discovery on the left and ISS on the right, chasing from right to left.

Does anybody know, how far apart the two would be tomorrow around 18.15 GMT?
They should pass very close to the moon and also fly through the constellation of Orion, so I hope to get some nice photos, as the sky is forecasted to be clear again.
