What is the payload cansiter doing in the SSPF?
« on: 06/20/2006 05:18 PM »
Just checked here http://science.ksc.nasa.gov/shuttle/countdown/video/chan6large.jpg and noticed the payload cansiter in the SSPF. What is going to be loaded into it?

I win.

I figured out the puzzle.

The Columbus module is going into the payload canister to go over to the O&C to be put in the vacuum chamber.

This answers the question on this thread.

Still need to confirm this.

Done.  here is the O&C feed of the chamber

It's not bay so to speak, but a  fixture that rotates the module to vertical and then mounts it  in the vaccum chamber

missed it, already in the canister.   Don't work ISS and don't know the people to ask for the test results.

BTW it looks like the other two MPLM's are in the foreground of the picture, in storage

Thank's anyway.
I saw the modules before but I didn't know what was under the plastic covers.
