I'm trying to learn a bit more about Earth Observation systems and I'm struggling to find any good information about the attenuation effects that clouds (and fog, smoke etc.) have on the range and amplitude of the various atmospheric windows.

Could anyone point me in the right direction for some good reference materials?

Thanks, MG.
