ALT 1977: 1/400 paper model diorama
« on: 09/01/2013 07:34 pm »
Here's my 1/400 rendition of NASA's SCA taking off with Enterprise for her first free flight. I know there were five T-38 flying chase but my frame wasn't big enough to fit them all in. So there.
Hope you like it.

I really like your diorama. It's amazing how you have built it in this scale. Congratulation, the landing looks perfect.

If you didn't have wood grain for scale, you could have told me this was twice or four times as big. Very well done :)

Thanks!
And just for scale, here's a picture of the SCA / Enterprise before I put it on the diorama and one of the T-38's.
(oh and by the way, they're just taking off, not landing. I especially took care of putting the flaps in the right position..)
All of these models originally were meant to be built at 1/144 but I reduced them to 36% of their size. They're all free downloads at AXM paper space scale models.

Sweet!  Very nice diorama, impressive work in a small scale.
I'll even excitedly look forward to "flags and footprints" and suborbital missions. Just fly...somewhere.
