Decay Dates for Space Objects
« on: 12/04/2011 10:23 pm »
With the suspension of publication of the SPACEWARN bulletin I have been unable to find a source that lists the decay dates of space objects.

Does anyone know if/where such a list exists?

Here is what was in the last SPACEWARN Bulletin issue for June decays:

Actual decays/landings of payload spacecraft and rocket bodies (R/B) only. No further information is available.

Designations              Common Name                 Decay Date (2011)

2011-027B(37680)     SL-4 R/B                          23 June
2000-025C(26362)     NAVSTAR 47 R/B(PAM-D)  22 June
2011-007A(37368)     ATV 2                              21 June
2006-052B(29602)     DELTA 2 R/B(2)                21 June
2011-023B(37634)     SL-4 R/B                          11 June
2011-020A(37577)     STS 134                           01 June

Thanks

Is this of any help for past re-entries?

Note: current predictions are on hiatus until 7 Dec, but should appear here:

You can roll your own if you

1) Go to http://www.wingar.demon.co.uk/satevo/ and get SatEvo,

2) Download the CC3260MT.DLL file described in the readme that gets SatEvo to work on many Windows systems,

3) Go to https://www.space-track.org/perl/login.pl and register, being careful to read and follow the terms of use,

4) Download the bulk catalog from Space Track and

5) Run SatEvo against the bulk catalog.

All this is fairly easy to do.

Thank you - this site covers only some of the reentries - I have found that the SPACEWARN Bulletin always had additional objects

For example in June -

SPACEWARN Bulletin
2011-027B(37680)     SL-4 R/B                          23 June
2000-025C(26362)     NAVSTAR 47 R/B(PAM-D)             22 June
2011-007A(37368)     ATV 2                             21 June
2006-052B(29602)     DELTA 2 R/B(2)                    21 June
2011-023B(37634)     SL-4 R/B                          11 June
2011-020A(37577)     STS 134                           01 June

versus
Delta II Stage 3          22 JUN 2011
Delta II Stage 3          22 JUN 2011
Soyuz-FG                   11 JUN 2011

so ATV 2 and Soyuz on June 23 were not listed
