One detail that is included with the model was crucial to the Hayabusa mission's success. Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) project manager Junichiro Kawaguchi is included with the toy as a LEGO Minifigure. Clad in a blue pinstripe suit and yellow tie, the miniature Kawaguchi features two faces: an everything-is-going-well-with-the-mission happy face, as well as a more disturbed look for the high-tension moments that came during Hayabusa's mission.
Newest Hayabusa 2 configuration Changed to two HGA configuration.SCI stands for Small Carry-on Impactor.(MINERVA-IIB and MASCOT Lander, DCAM separation camera are still option.)
Japanese newspaper report manufacturing of the Hayabusa 2 is start.
Hayabusa 2 will carry three small rovers. MASCOT from the German DLR, and MINERVA II-1 and II-2.
I don't understand: is this the flight model or a structure model?
Good of the Japanese to have completed the actual mission hardware so quickly; and to have integrated all or most of it. They'll be ready to launchby 2014.
