UPDATED: Nov. 21, according to the 9ifly schedule

It seems that the date was only a guess from a forum member (who isn't an insider) without using any reliable sources. Indeed it is still not known which rocket will be used for the next Jilin-1 satellites (could be the next CZ-6 instead, or even KZ-1A/11), except that they announced that two more launches are planned this year with 3 & 2 satellites respectively. :-\

Thanks for the confirmation.

I suppose that if it wasn't a CZ-6, you would have already amended the thread title!

Why is the vehicle already assembled if the launch is in a month? Is it some kind of systems test?

The satellites is heading from their factory to the Launch site. The article also mentioned that the sats image width is increased from 11km to 20km

Jilin-1 is a series consisting of multiple satelites?

This must be the same Jilin-1 that was launch back in October 2015 (https://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=38183.0). Four satellites were launch then. Were all those four satellites in the Jilin-1 series?

i am cross referencing to two posts in that thread here:-

Jilin-1 optical satellite (high resolution multi-spectralpanchromatic): Resolution 0.72 m - 420 kg

A imaging validation satellite with 4.7 m resolution - 50 kg (LQSat ?)

Two video imaging satellites: 4K ultra-clear video resolution 1.13 meters - 95 kg each (LQ Lingqiao-A/B ?)

1 x 420 kg class main satellite (specifications on graph 1)
1 x 65 kg class agile imaging demonstration satellite (specifications on graph 2)
2 x 95 kg class video imaging satellite (specifications on graph 3)

Hi SmallKing, in the subject heading you type as Jilin-1(04-06)...the numbers in the bracket, does it represent Jilin-1(04), Jilin-1(05) and Jilin-1(06), the three satellite to be launched?

We got confirmation (from a company which is sponsoring the whole imaging satellite constellation with naming rights, no less) that the launch is on time tomorrow.

Unfortunately the launch time is still unknown and (as with the first flight of the Long March 6) it doesn't look like there are any related air space closure notices for checking.  :-\

9ifly announces lift off tomorrow at around 04:00 UTC

Online Galactic Penguin SST

For those who are wondering, there's nothing new to report right now. Also note that the rumor of launch time was "around midday" so it doesn't have to be exactly 04:00 UTC (e.g. the last 3 satellites of this constellation were launched at ~04:13 UTC).

In other news "the company which is sponsoring the whole imaging satellite constellation with naming rights" is apparently a health care products company, which in China are usually rather "shady" :ahem:.  :P

Apparently launch has occurred at 04:50 UTC - I'm still waiting for official confirmation and outcome.

China launches three commercial remote sensing satellites
http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2017-11/21/c_136768778.htm

TAIYUAN, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- China launched three remote sensing satellites at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday from Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in north China's Shanxi Province.

The three satellites -- Jilin-1 04, Jilin-1 05 and Jilin-1 06 -- carried cameras designed to improve observation capability to promote commercial use for the remote sensing industry.

It was the third launch of the Jilin-1 satellite family, a remote sensing system of more than 60 satellites developed by Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd.

The system will be used for wide imaging, video imaging and multispectral imaging. Remote sensing data will serve administrations and commercial customers.

Tuesday's satellites were carried by a Long March-6 rocket, a new generation of China's liquid-fueled carrier rocket developed by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

The launch is the second mission of the Long March-6 and the 255th flight carried out with the Long-March series of carrier rockets.
