December 26, 2017 year in 22:00 MSK with pad launch complex 45 Cosmodrome BAIKONUR executed start Launcher (Ph) «Zenit-2SB» with a booster unit (RB) "Fregat-SB» and spacecraft (Ka)" Angosat ".

The estimated time booster separation occurred with a companion from the second stage of the carrier rocket. Branch "Angosat" SPACECRAFT is planned in 06:54 December 27 IIC.

KA "Angosat" created in RSC Energia commissioned by the Ministry of telecommunications and information technologies of the Republic of Angola on the basis of the service platform, consisting of a Russian-made components.

In KA "Angosat" was applied to a number of innovative solutions that enable powerful enough with relatively small (1647 kg) weight for this class. Jelektroraketnaja Ka bipropellant "Angosat" allows for prolonged dovyvedenie spacecraft on orbit (if necessary) and correction of its orbital position.

"Angosat"-a spacecraft designed to provide broadcasting on the frequency, the C-and Ku-bands to the territory of the Republic of Angola, as well as to the territory of the entire African continent. The project "Angosat" envisages the creation of a communications satellite to relay, run it on the geostationary orbit and the establishment of a terrestrial telecommunications infrastructure and broadcast television. The project also involved the Enterprise Corporation Roskosmos."

01:22:58 Moscow Time (5:22 p.m. EST, 22:22 GMT): Fregat to reactivate its thrusters in preparation for its 2nd maneuver, this time to enter a geotransfer orbit with #Angosat-1. Main engine firing to begin in a minute and should last around 11 min. #Zenit: russianspaceweb.com/zenit-angosat-…

2nd maneuver should insert the Fregat/#Angosat-1 stack into a 341 by 36,061-kilometer orbit. The same engine firing should also further reduce orbital inclination from 50.45 to 48.62 degrees toward the Equator. Waiting for confirmation: russianspaceweb.com/zenit-angosat-…

The Zenit-2 second stage from the Angosat launch has been cataloged as 43090, in a 166  x 562 km x 51.4 deg orbit

Not bad: they had a deviation allowance of 1 km for 167-km perigee and 5.6-km allowance for 566-km apogee. So, it is within specifications, it seems.

I'm not sure what convention they are using - relative to geoid, orbit actually 170 x 576 km. So within the scatter in possible definitions of   perigee/apogee.

Congratulations to the entire launch campaign team, on the occasion of the final orbital launch of 2017!  I thought we'd seen the last flight of Zenit when it launched Elektro-L #2 back in 2015.  Glad to see this LV in action again.

And thank you to the launch thread/article coverage team!  I count more than 10 contributors!

EDIT 12/27: Sorry to read about the apparent loss of Angosat-1.

(Noted--the web cast music: The link that Svetoslav pointed out had some hopping club beats at intervals.  I felt like I'd turn around to find a drop-dead-gorgeous waitress asking me to buy a pricey alcoholic shooter that glows in the dark under the house black-light illumination.) 8)

Any chance the 2nd stage could have reentered over New England? A newscaster friend reported a meteor tonight. http://whdh.com/news/meteor-spotted-in-the-sky-across-new-england/amp/?__twitter_impression=true

Rough translation: Contact was lost with AngoSat some time after spacecraft separation. (Signal was received for some time)

This is the first geostationary communication satellite built by RSC Energia in around 15 years.....

The information in the upper link is quite worrisome. The source says that the satellite will be declared "unworking" if it's not able to deploy its solar panels and reboot the on-board computer.

So if the quoted source is right, then the communication was lost before the solar panel deployment.
