When I referred to the party thread by its NSFSX-LLRPT abbreviation it became utterly clear that the party thread is deerly missing a proper speaking acronym

I was briefly thinking about something like  Peculiarly Amusing Reuseable Topic Yard (PARTY) but except for its reuseability there is almost no launch or spacex connection and especially no FH connection, so something else it has to be.

As a non native speaker, I am not particularly good at this, and I'm sure someone comes up with something better ;)
Ha! Youíre right I missed that.

SpaceX sure know how to get attention. Alien sightings, classified mysteries, cars to Mars, vertical landings, explosive failures, maiden flights and BFR ambitions.

They're flying maidens? How did I miss that?

Full tinfoil hat theory as to what happened to Zuma:

About a year ago, Musk rather publicly resigned from (or elected not to join, not sure of that detail) a business/government relations working group being set up by Trump.  Musk at the time expressed his own very unflattering opinions of Trump.

This part is true.

Trump is the thinnest skinned celebrity in history.

This part, whatever you think of the man, is also demonstrably true.

Now, for the fantasy, er, theory:

Trump decided to "get back" at Musk's slight, and estimation of his character, by arranging the Zuma "accident" and instructing his friends and aides to "stick it to that <expletive deleted> Emon guy" (sic) by blaming the newly-ordered failure on Musk.  Who can't wriggle off the hook on a classified failure.

A move of which Putin would have been proud.

As tinfoil hat theories go, it accounts for what facts are known, and reflects how satellite failures can be turned into launcher failures, as long as you think like a lawyer, not an engineer.  It also means that, if true, we ought to hear all the juicy details when the next set of WH hires resigns and starts flapping its collective lips in a few months...  :D

The scariest part about that post? It's not inconceivable that is exactly what happened.

Has anyone heard any rumors that Zuma was built from components/designs out of Area 51 and it just flew away on release?

Yes, but the person who whispered that rumor to me, in a dark back alley, was immediately set upon by about a dozen G-men and killed outright.  So I'd be careful spreading that rumor around, if I were you... :D

I've noticed that whenever I fail to post something here there is always a scrub, abort, failure, etc that follows. Today I'm making my voice heard so the static fire test is completed tomorrow and we can get on with the future I've been waiting for since the 60's.

Sigh.... that movie brings back memories. It was the first movie I saw at the Century theaters in San Jose.

Doing any sort of math right now is completely inapropriate!
