Here's a picture from rollout (which I was lucky enough to attend) and one from the launch at the causeway (the last time a full Shuttle Stack will ever be in the frame of my camera).

I always loved these night Space Shuttle pictures with the xenon lights on her.

These pix are really beautiful!

Only one pic for now -- picture quality isn't the best as it's taken from my phone, but it's a panorama of the RSS rollback.

Here's mine!  Had to get one photo of my own for the last flight, as I did not get any for STS-133 launch so I could just soak up my first shuttle launch in Feb.

wow great pictures!!!

i tried out a small video clip
won't know how good it is until after i get home
will post whatever result on my youtube channel
i am going to do a trip report on A.net
will link it here when done

hatch about to open!!!

yeeeee!!!!

Thx!  Here is a photo of the bleachers I took...I was on the right side of the poorman's countdown clock. ;)

Did you sign the banner at the entrance?  I thought was so cool!  I hope they put it up near Atlantis when she has her place at KSC...would be cool to have my name near her at KSC!  :)

crop of nikon d40 w/stock 200mm with a 2x extender, ISO 280, f/8, 1/640
cleaned up a little in photoshop for sharpness and tone.
about halfway down the east side of the causeway.

...i think the only way i managed to get through that day at all was because i was so convinced it wasn't actually going to happen. all the way to t minus nine felt like a dress rehearsal, and then, suddenly, it wasn't on the pad any more.

god speed atlantis.

hands down favorite is still and will forever be STS-131. ISS horizon-to-hoizon flyover before, mother of pearl colored exhaust plume after, and in between, the quiet stillness of the last launch before the four "last" launches (and their crowds). went up on the first try, on a perfectly comfortable evening. i could live in that moment forever.

Two more xenon shots (from the Saturn V complex) the night before launch. Not as nice as Imperfect Sense's stuff, but I'm pretty happy with them...  :)

I was lucky enough to make it to the final launch of each of the remaining orbiters, so here's my photographic tribute to their final flights.

My launch video from the Tweetup at the press site:

You can hear the chatter of the people standing around me before and during launch, so it's not necessarily the best audio - but it does provide a more unique feel for being there, versus a standard broadcast video.
