Ok I have my 2 tickets for the launch, viewing from the visitors complex, (all others were sold out) Do not know if it is a good spot to watch the launch but, I think it should be ok...

I only hope I recieve them in time before I fly out to Florida...

Anyway, see you in about a month :)

To anyone interested in attending, just send me a PM and I'll start putting a plan together! :)

Well let me know what your plans are :)

I will arrive in Florida on Nov 6 (at around 7 pm) and will stay until Nov 26..  so I have the time to meet you and others... on launch day or days before or after...only I prommised to take my girlfriend to disney world and sea world, so not all space for me in November...LOL

So any tips on how to travel from Orlando to Titusville (there is my Hotel) and then to KSC...and tip for disney etc is welcome...

Thanks,
Jacques :-)

Looking fine. L2 processing reports are small at the moment (no issues). Almost slowed right down waiting for Atlantis to vacate 39A.

Will get busier when she takes her place on 39A and then there's crew loading and a bit of tightness on the LON support (writing up that now - along with current scheduling options for 2009), but no signs of stress on the 126 NET right now.

Yes I have recieved my confirmation email. But they have not taken the funds. With the STS-125 Tickets they didnt take the funds for a few weeks actually.

I am now thinking of buying my airline tickets... Should I wait untill the actually "move" endeavour to Pad;A? or should that be a flawless activity? just your opinions? thanks all

Me neither. I've got a confirmation number, but no e-mail as of yet.

The rollover (or rollabout as this one will be) should be issue free.

Key milestones are the Level II SSP FRR (October 21-22), before the launch date is set at the Level I Agency FRR on October 30-31.

Anything can happen in the flow anyway, so it's always a bit of a gamble with the plane tickets, but if a problem is noted on L2, I'll copy it across to the public side immediately.

Right now, Nov 14 looks doable.

My daughter will be born on November 18 so inevitably launch will be the 18th.

He, he.  In my experience, daughters rarely come in on plan either.  Any chance you're calling her Endeavour?

There's no doubt she will be here on that day and no, we're naming her OV-105.

If you want to see the launch from the causeway, try Gray Line Orlando/Gator Tours.

Otherwise there are some good spots to watch from Titusville.

No word yet from my Congressional Representative about the tickets they requested from NASA for STS-126.  Perhaps I'll hear next week, which would be one month before the scheduled launch date.
I read earlier on this site about a STS-125 Congressional ticket holder being offered a spot for STS-126.  Maybe I'll get to see 125 launch after all, but in Spring.  All things considered, I'll like to go sooner.

I guess I was lucky. I got online immediately at 9 AM and was able to get a ticket. Less than 5 minutes later I checked again and they were sold out. I see a few other NSF members here got tickets also. Hope to see you there.

I am still hoping I get a pass from my senator's office. I bought the ticket today as a back up in case that other option does not work out. If I do get the other pass I might have a space ticket. We'll see how that goes.

First notify me if you have extra tickets. ;)

Second how do you get tickets from your senator? Do you email them or call them? Ya I was one of the un lucky ones. I got on at 9AM filled out the form but they were sold out by the time I finished. :'(

Sorry about the typo. I meant I might have a *spare* ticket. Though some might call it a space ticket anyway.  ;)

You can call, email or fax your senator or representative's office. I forget how I did it the first time but I contacted his local office, not the one in DC. I suppose you could try the DC office too though. I have been assisted by an aide, who has been able to get me the passes a couple of times. Hopefully you can find a good contact person also.

Do you think my Florida Senator would be able to?
I sort of know one.

That's exactly what TNC said in the post right before yours...
