The ITS booster MPS looks like a giant wok burner! Anyone fancy using it for a quick stir fry!?

Has anyone ran the numbers on underpants yet ? I mean realistically, given current world population and other factors, you'd get what, about 4 billion pairs ? Whats the average value of a used pair with a low mass fraction ?

Everybody is missing THE TRUTH. Anybody who listened to the media press teleconference knows it was recorded in a ball bearing factory on Mars.  Musk is already there!  Soon he will be firing his ball bearings at Earth!  Only Trump can stop him.

Seriously, has anybody found a version with better audio quality, if there is such a thing?

Man I could go for some "Red Planet Pizza" right now!
Pixar's been working on this for a while -- complete with ITS parked right next door..

I strongly believe the option of stealing underpants will produce most of the funding for this.

I can't believe he started with a South Park reference!!

I hope the suits that Jose Fernandez is designing look like this -

I'm sure we all knew it would take something like that to get to Mars ... ;D

It seems the stars are reversed during the "interplanetary coast" portion of the video.  I would have never noticed it except that the brightness distribution of the stars seemed statistically correct and pleasing, not the random spattering of uniform-brightness specks one sometimes sees.  Looking around for landmarks, there is Orion, but the wrong way around.  Maybe originally the spacecraft was on the right side of the frame, then they flipped the image for some reason.

No doubt this has already been mentioned by some other wit, but I'm too lazy to search thousands of posts:

I thought Elon hated acronyms?  So what's up with ITS?

;)

As I understand it he wasn't thrilled that "Mars Colonial Transport" went to MTC or BFR to BFS so he figured he's shortcut the process AND point out that with his focus on Mars he STILL has eyes for the rest of the universe so it became "Interplanetary Transport Ship". Much as he hates acronyms geek/nerd-culture in general loves them so...

British physics, old chap. It's undignified to belch flames and effluvia all over the pad, what. A true gentlemen's orbital conveyance lifts itself into the air unostentatiously, with the minimum of spectacle and a modicum of grace. Not like our American cousins' launch vehicles, eh?

Musk only hates the unnecessary and excessive use of acronyms, which complicates communication and operation. MCT, ITS, or BFR are significant and memorable compared to an obscure acronym for the test stand, so they simplify communication instead.
