Well this is really out of the blue, but it seems that the Japanese has just won their first major geostationary comsat launch contract ever!  :o Apparently Telesat of Canada has booked one of their satellites for launch on an H-IIA rocket in 2015: http://t.co/lVOLlDcOdP (in Japanese)

Press conference scheduled in 40 minutes: http://t.co/ksHii75c5R

The only satellite that seems to fit with the planned launch time is the recently ordered Telstar 12V.

Sorry, I corrected the name to Shin'en-2.

Shin'en-2 is not reflight the Shin'en. It's another satellite.
Now, launch payload mass is excessed. So, launch is still TBD. But manager's reserve can be available.

Mission objective are thermoplastic CFRP demonstration and deep space communication demonstration.

Yes, that is the plan.

The same goes for PROCYON (an small experimental asteroid probe) and ARTSAT2-DESPATCH (some kind of combined interplanetary art object and amateur communications satellite).

Just saw that the Japanese comsat operator Sky Perfect JSAT signed a launch contract with MHI for launching one of their new satellites (either JCSAT-15 or 16) on an H-IIA rocket in 2016! That's a looonnng time in the coming since they have flown satellites on Ariane (4/5), Atlas (II), Titan (yes - on one of the 4 Commercial Titan III launches!), Zenit (Sea Launch), Proton (which got their satellite dumped in Kazakhstan), and will fly on Falcon 9.....  8)
