From the vacuum Isp of 438 seconds for both the YF-77 and YF-75, it would appear that they are both gas generator engines. Is that correct?

Reading the Articles,it sounds like a chinese Version of an Ariane5(looking at Payloads and Diameters).Solids involved?

Will that "Long March 5" launch vehicle be used for manned launch as well?

The CZ-5 family: ( From left to right) 2.25m diameter launch vehicle; 3.35m diameter launch vehicle (without and with strap-on stages); 5.0m diameter launch vehicle (without and with strap-on stages).

I think, that it will be used for chinese space station. (The most powerfull version). This version can be used for simply flyby of the Moon. (Like russian planned flight atop Proton launcher, which was tested by Zond flights)

No reports of solids to date.  It isn't just an Ariane 5 class vehicle either.  It is more like Angara, a complete family of launch vehicles that runs from Rokot/Taurus class to EELV/Ariane 5 class.

Here's my writeup on CZ-5, done last year.  Huinan has been announced as the launch site since then.  Also, as you can see from today's news, the inaugural launch data has slipped (again), this time to 2014.  Early plans called for first launch in 2011, as I recall, then 2012, and so on.

There is a little mistake in your article. China's new launch site is located in "Hainan island", not "Huinan island".

I have got a question. Planes China use CZ-5 for unmanned flight to Moon with reentry with the samples of Moon´s minerals?

I think that CZ-5 will mean the same benefit like Ariane 5ECA, Proton or Delta IVH for chinese astronautics.

Right.  Thanks.  I've fixed that.  The new satellite launching center is to be near Wenchang on Hainan.

Absolutely!
And if the Chinese will launch a Spacestation,i think we will see a Salyut-like Module.
But they can launch several Modules to build up a Mir-Class Station.
But can they do a manned Moon orbiting Mission like the unmanned Zond Flights?

If they can assemble payloads together to form a space station, they can also assemble the needed pieces to land on the surface of the moon.

I have got a notice: the Zond missions didn´t be Moon orbiting missions. They didn´t go on Moon orbit. They flew over the dark side of the Moon only and back to Earth.

Same was the plan of the first Soviet manned missions atop the Proton carrier-rockets.

Zond was a cicumlunar flight.  If CZ-5 is able to put 25 tonnes into LEO, it should also be able to propel up to 10.5 tonnes toward the moon using a dedicated cryogenic TLI stage (or 8.5 tonnes using the planned cryogenic "HO" stage to perform a second burn).  I think that should be enough to boost a Shenzhou-like spacecraft on a cirucumlunar mission.

An Earth Rendezvous mission using two CZ-5 launches should be sufficient to perform a lunar orbiting mission with a Shenzhou-like spacecraft, assuming cryogenic TLI and hypergolic LOI/TEI stages are used.

These possibilities may be what Griffin is talking about when he says that China will get to the Moon before NASA can return.

I don't think circumlunar or Lunar orbital flight amounts to much... It's the surface that is the place for humans.
