Anyone else wish the imaginary payload
"Primary Exo-Atmospheric Colorimetric High Energy System"
"PEACHES" was on board?

Of course another way to look at it is that they already have the coffee, and only needed the cream

Don't let the ASDS's see them, they might refuse to leave port and delay lunch!

COTS/CRS and CCDev aren't really comparable. As Zubrin once said, it's the difference between à la carte and a banquet.
Then what is Orion?

Soylent Green.

People?

Yup. More specifically, feeding people to people.

In an alternate, dystopian reality, we could experience:

"People...People eating...people
Are the luckiest people in the world..."

At least we know who'll play Hans in the upcoming movie about SpaceX. :)

From SpaceX.com homepage

This looks like a shot out of Kubrick's 2001.  The F9 is talking to the Monolith.

What'sa matter, Space Geeks, Monday Blues and no chatter? You gotten jaded? "Ho hum, just another Space X launch and rocket coming in to land. No need to party any more."

Checking in from my layover in Hangzhou. I'm almost exactly halfway around the world, it's midnight here, they're cracking down on VPNs and the Great Firewall is blocking youtube so I can't get a signal on my laptop, and I've resorted to watching it on my work computer via a slow 2g connection, but I'm still excited and watching what I can.

Get off yer chairs, get yer rally caps on, and make some noise!!!!

Going so long without a launch makes the countdown seem SO much longer.

Fun fact, the SpaceX engineer broadcasting has his lapel mic mounted way too low on his shirt, causing the background noise to be much louder than it should be. Moving that up 4-6" would reduce the background noise by half.

I'm an audio and video systems engineer and I find that very annoying.

I've found the only way to ruin a rocket launch: CNN International is broadcasting it (YAY!!!), Richard Quest is narrating it (YGTBFSM!!!)

I usually don't mind Richard Quest - if he's in a good mood. Enjoyed the spectacular coverage, all the way over here in Helsinki which is not my usual roost! :)

Ever try to watch a rocket launch on a 2g connection? Hope you never have to. Hoping someone uploads a recording of it soon.

Congrats, Space X!!

The hardest part of traveling for work. Leaving at oh-hurt-thirty one morning, we found one of our cats sleeping next to my suitcase by the door. She knew.
