There's a roadster hanging out at 39a... It may not be a Tesla roadster but it's definitely getting me in the FH spirit

Maybe it thinks it can switch places and no one will know it's not a tesla ;)

A Corvette at the Cape for "old times sake" and good luck tradition! 8)

Mine looks like this only a 71', wish it was Shepard's 68'! :)

This is a great story!

Personally, I think upgrading 40 was a terrible idea, since it decreased the urgency to get Boca Chica on line.

Be patient, Nomadd.  You're going to be center stage for the start of the next race to the Moon, and then Mars.

I have a silly question which I haven't seen much on yet... these TBMs, permits, ROW acquisitions, sales offices, proposal developments....  etc, etc, all cost money.

Is Elon just funding this all with his pocket change (and hat sales)?  We have seen nothing about other investors right?

He recently remodeled his house and in the process found most of the financing needed lost in his couch cushions.  Hat sales have been on point, though.  Probably saved him from having to go around panhandling to his VC buddies to make up any shortfall.

I'm excited to get LC40 back up and running. Because it will make 2018 very exciting to see what can happen with 3 pads, Dragon 2, FH and Block 5.

2017 has been great, 2018 could be amazing.

You sure it's not that you're wondering exactly what type of batteries all those toys will need?  I'm betting 2170s... or is it 21700s.  Hmm, unless they're still using 18650s.  ;D

I think this is supposed to be one of those "use an unstable spin to increase drag" designs.

I saw Scott Manley do it in Kerbal once, so I'm pretty sure it's airtight.

Those aren't rivets. They are just cheapo xmas lights bought on sale.  Didn't even last through static fire.

In service to humanity, I must report that a flat, circular object floated loose in the second stage at Dragon separation.

If you zoom in, you can clearly see a SpaceX "X" in the center of the object.

Hmm.. SpaceX coasters are square so that can't be what it is...

Seeing a launch on NSF is fun.  Seeing it from the Banana River viewing area is amazing.  The having lunch after your launch by a Saturn V is priceless.
