Here's the Lego Ideas announcement of Saturn V being approved:

Suspect a lot of NSF members may be buying this. My son likes rockets and loves Lego so hopefully I can swing this as an educational purchase for him  :D

I will be buying it when it comes out. When I built my Lego Curiosity Rover I had no idea it would make me want more Lego sets. Building Poe Dameron's X-Wing now.
I'll even excitedly look forward to "flags and footprints" and suborbital missions. Just fly...somewhere.

Still happy about this !!!!

The question is how many copies to buy. I'll want several to keep for giving as gifts and one for me and one MISB and maybe some to hoard for later....

Hey! Save some for the rest of us  :)

My son really wants one of these, he just doesn't know it yet ...

I hope/assume they've retained the design feature of making the tanks visible within each stage. Look forward to seeing more details soon.

The shuttle is an old set that is OOP, but with stickers I printed.  Chris is a custom figure I ordered from here:

NASA Apollo Saturn V to launch as LEGO brick model set on June 1
http://www.collectspace.com/news/news-042817a-lego-nasa-apollo-saturn-v.html

The countdown is on for the launch of the LEGO Saturn V moon rocket.

LEGO on Friday (April 28) rolled out its first photos and filed its "launch plan" for its "NASA Apollo Saturn V" set to be released on June 1. The towering model — the toy brick rocket when fully assembled will stand more than 3 feet tall (39.37 inches or 100 centimeters) or about 1:110 the size of the mighty booster — is based on a fan submission on the crowdsourcing website LEGO Ideas.

"Build the first rocket to land people on the Moon!" the Danish toy company wrote. "Packed with authentic details, it features three removable rocket stages."

I just wanted to share my excitement about this new Apollo Lego set being released on June 1st. I'm really looking forward to building this with my kids. I'll just have to keep it away from my 4 year old otherwise it may not make it off the launch pad.  ;)

Really looking forward to this. It looks like the design has been changed from what was originally put forwards, though it still looks excellent.
