L-21, why not?
I PMed them to that effect, although I didn't hear back. And I suggest that PMing might in general be more effective than posting, at least in this case, as the posts fly so fast and furious. Also I don't know about you, but I tend to only search for my pick and not necessarily read every single post. (why I saw that F16 was a dup??? I guess I have no life???)F-16 please! (also a great aircraft) ;D
Already picked, 3 posts above yours.
L20Dang!
O23 apparently the scraper was still pointing to the last thread when I voted, I got a much better spot now anyway.
Kudos to Dan for reworking his scraper to also recognize selections without hyphens.
Now I have one of the squares where the arcs cross at the center of the logo.
That seems to qualify me as REALLY optimistic. :P
edit: But wait. The background image is for JTRI, the west coast ASDS. Yesterday it was the appropriate OCISLY, albeit without the deck repair for which we don't have such a good image.

P-15
(good looking spot, and also the Mustang is a good looking plane ;) )
BTW, I joined NSF back in the heady days of DIRECT...been lurking ever since.
Ell-nineteen (rewritten so as not to invalidate my own selection)

Sorry, already taken by me, about four minutes after the thread opened.
What was weather and see conditions at the barge at the time of landing. I see some white caps and the exhaust drifted a bit...been worried they might only be able to stick a landing if everything was "perfect".
Forgive my ignorance...does a crew head out to the barge and secure the rocket???

P.S. That was the sh*t.
Barring a tragic topple, THERE WILL BE A WINNER!!!!!! Congrats Space-X!!!!!
SpaceX-provided visuals of the landing were fantastic - full-HD, real-time, most of a fly-around after landing. Very well done!

Keep in mind that is a NASA chase plane, not SpaceX - but hopefully SpaceX can muster up a chase plane or two in the future!
I saw elements of a quadcopter drone in some of the footage during the post-landing flybys - not a chase plane. It wouldn't be safe to operate a manned aircraft in the restricted airspace around the ASDS.
Definitely a fixed wing, since the wing was in the image for a while.
The important thing is that it is sufficiently off-center to make future bingo games interesting.
Wonder who won the bingo!
Everyone did.
I am close at J-25!

I did the photogrammetry as best I could, and I get dead center on H and right on the line between 23 and 24.

I did it myself out of my natural scientific skepticism and find that it is very sensitive as to where you decide to place the tips of the legs.

I have H-23, and my L2 subscription just expired, so I'm feeling pretty good right now.
Just to correct a bit: I'm fairly sure it was fixed wing aircraft with a camera mounted designed for aerial photography, and most likely by SpaceX since the feed was only available via SpaceX stream (further rebroadcast on the NASA stream)
Had it been NASA feed it would've been shown on NASA stream without the SpaceX graphics.
It's been reported on this site by at least one person with close SpaceX ties that it was in fact a NASA chase plane.
Won't name names to protect anonymity, but the posts are right there in plain sight for those with eyes to read them.
Maybe this will help
The rules change did the trick, no prizes for kabooms forced SpaceX to up their game ;)
So, based on the superb flyaround shots shortly after landing, still shots from on the deck, dockside views from today's return to port, and someone with a handy helicopter flyby a winner has been determined.
Without further ado, the winner of the prize for picking the first ever in the history of the world successful landing site of a space booster on a ship at sea is NSF user Blah with his pick of square H-23!
Congrats to the lucky winner and to Space-X for a flawless mission which gave us this exciting game!
Thanks everyone for playing and I'm certain we'll be doing it again soon.
Congratz!!!
