How does one become an Astronaut?I know this is a very broad question but I was looking for a lot of tips and advice on the steps that you can take to get there. I know that education is a very big part of it, but what other things can you do to lead you on that pathway?

The most basic requirement is a bachelor degree in a field of science or medicine. You have to have good eyesight as well. It is a little different for which agency you hope to one day apply for, but ESA and NASA both have height requirements. Though ESA has less details about their requirements.I want to become an astronaut. Yup Im serious, though its a long road and I've only begun the journey. Point is I've really tried to find as much information as possible. Though the basics is education, but that is the civilian way to become an astronaut. You can also become an astronaut through the military. But I'd say that's perhaps more difficult. Since the requirement for military personal to apply to become astronauts is 1000 hours piloting an aircraft.Bottom line there are two ways that lead to becoming an astronaut. If you want tips, work hard and study hard. Keep your drive going and stay motivated. For more information check out the links I added below. Well I wish you luck on your adventure, and thank you for the advice! I'm going to try my best to do as much as I can with school, and do as many extracurricular things I can to boost my chances as I have read that not only does getting an education help, but things like volunteering and just showing good leadership and group setting skills can boost your chances greatly aswell.Becoming EMT certified, learning Russian, getting Scuba certified, all things that can help I have read.
