you are so lucky - though i am not sure if you are conscious of how lucky you are

I agree with this post and that second pic is a real winner.

There's some very nice shots in this thread.

Here's a shot I took from the visitor's center.

Here's my first, and last, attempt at a shuttle launch.

Montage of 4 shots taken at 1/2500, f8, ISO 320, with a 500mm Sigma lens (at 480mm) on a Canon 30d, cropped by about 25%.

Amazing experience.

Here's mine!  Had to get one photo of my own for the last flight, as I did not get any for STS-133 launch so I could just soak up my first shuttle launch in Feb.
Launches: 133, 134, 135, EFT-1  Scrubs: 134

 bleachers at the drawbridge.

Great spot - I was there watching Endeavour lift off (STS-134)

much less people at the causeway back then...

eXcellent choice...

Hmmm... I must have been off to your right.  Here's my view down the causeway.  I was just to the west of the first tent there.

Any chance that's you just over my right shoulder?

The official launch thread is locked, so just thought I'd post a cool photo of the exhaust plume taken from the Shuttle Training Aircraft when it flew near it
