So weird for the wake-up times to be so different. This mission must be the biggest differences in wake up times. Can't wait for tonight!

Heh! You know I don't care that's not an "update" (and technically this thread is about updates) because that totally cheered me up after a really long day ;D

Thanks Layton :)

Concur--it'll be an exciting night/morning/event.  Go AMS-2!

I was going to make a wise-crack about how can it already be LIVE FD-4 when I'm still trying to catch up with FD-3.  But then again, the guy in charge (that's you Chris) knows all about sleep-shifting (or better, not sleeping at all), and that's handy on this mission of strange hours held by the two crews.

So weird for the wake-up times to be so different. This mission must be the biggest differences in wake up times. Can't wait for tonight!

Sleep shifting went out of the window by L-1. Now it's "sleep when there's an opportunity-shifting" ;)

Such as now. Back for robotics!

Sufficiently on topic ? :-) Take a moment now and again to drink a cup of kudos, Chris... I don't know how you do it, but keep on doing it...

I'll pick it up for bit before I too need to head off for some shut eye.

PAO just reviewed the days activties and recapped the late wake up call.

A, never boring, live shot from the station cameras.

We've been invited on board for video from the flight deck, but shuttle CapCom called back up that we were 8 minutes out from a LOS and about 30 minutes out from KU coverage. So no on-board video for at least a little bit longer.

Station crew sleep cycle is offset and won't get a wake up call for another hour.

edit: to correct time till station crew wake up, seems I am loosing not only sleep but track of time.

I wonder how well it works for mission personnel to be on such different sleep cycles. Are they able to have good separation between sleeping compartments and the areas of activity? The Shuttle crew, at least, can sleep in their own vehicle, but I think about ISS-crew fatigue. They have, I notice, scheduled transfers for after ISS wake-up, so it'll just be SRMS AMS while the locals are sleeping.
Any notion how well that's turning out?

So weird for the wake-up times to be so different. This mission must be the biggest differences in wake up times. Can't wait for tonight!

It seems the biggest inconvenience or at least challenge has to do with the loops and speakers in certain modules being on or off. Yesterday's Execute Package had a whole message about "when" and "how" the loops would be differently configured, as well as instructions on how to make calls on specific channels. Interesting to see how it goes.
