I think the biggest indication will be if the RSS moves.

Chris, are you saying that you think the decision has been made to RB?

That was made on Monday morning.

If there is to be another decision, it would only be to stop the rollback.

Oh, I was under the impression that they were holding out until tomorrow to decide, but they've essentially decided -- but could reverse the decision as late as tomorrow, huh?

I suppose we still need a dramatic diminishment of the storm's power or direction for them cancel the rollback at this point.

Seems we can't buy a break here.

If the RSS is still in place come 8am Florida Time (it's 3:20am right now), then the decision is to stay at the pad, I was told.

One of the big drawbacks of having a vertically integrated launch system.  Takes a LONG time to get to your storm shelter.

That is the shuttle, not a vertically integrated launch system.  Atlas can do it within 6 hrs after being fully tanked for launch

Don't they have to get the payload removed first?

It can stay in the orbiter.  No reason to take it out

Damn... It seems that the jalopy will miss the launch window... And probably there are no other launch opportunities till October.

Remember, our Russian friends at Roskosmos could change that.

For big truck type things. Don't know :) I do know I'm going to have nightmares about aft booster segments and would be great on Who wants to be a Millionaire if they have any questions about overhead views of the MLP ;)

Oh, Roskosmos...  what russian launch was on track? Soyuz or Progress? I remember they had to adjust the shedule for Atlantis, but now the situation has changed.
