Bolden is counter punching nicely.

Both previously Bennett and now Shelby question legality of NASA's terminating Constellation.

Shelby challenging Orion as CRV

Bolden: Orion CRV intended as first step towards a beyond LEO vehicle.

My question, is this development effort funded in the FY2011 budget?

Shelby now comparing Ares 1 and Falcon 9 on safety.

Shelby mispronounces Orion "Ory on".

Cochran want support for Stennis Space Center.

Bolden reminds Committee that plans continue to be developed.

When will they get Obama on the stand to represent HIS plan?

The president's staff (Obama) is representing the president.

Yes, however, no one else is as personally persuasive as Obama.

Hutchinson up now.

Questioning current plan and keeping Americans in space.

Skeptical and disappointed.

Does not believe Commercial can deliver.

Hutchinson alludes to the capability gap in supporting ISS ("ISS is the future") without Shuttle.

Poo-poos on commercial saying they aren't ready. She wants NASA to be in control.

Brings up possibility of a Soyuz accident, ISS crew evacuations, etc...

Bolden replys;

POR does not provide any solution. Money will not close gap with POR.

Hutchinson pushes the Shuttle extension,

Bolden responds...

Discussion has changed to commercial flight date and ISS 2020 and beyond.

No response on Shuttle extension.

Hutchinson says she doesn't mind skipping Ares I and going for Ares V (she probably means Ares IV)?

I'd take it with a grain of salt when senators call a vehicle by a particular name, they may not mean *exactly* that vehicle.
