US Launch Orders to ISRO

During October 2015, Antrix Corporation Limited (Antrix), the commercial arm of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), has signed Launch Services Agreement with M/s. PlanetIQ, an American Company, for launching two of their satellites on-board ISRO’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). These satellites are meant for studying certain weather parameters.

This information was provided by the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North-Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh in a reply to an unstarred question in Rajya Sabha today.

Are Venta-1 and Max Valier going along with these sats? Any how, next PSLV is not possible before Feb'17 as per the ISRO's launch schedule.

Thx

Reddit/ISRO page is showing a separate launch for Resourcesat-2A with C36. Refer

and these are the pending foreign contracts for the current year:

MaxValier Germany 20Kg    2016
Venta-1  Germany 20Kg      2016
NLS-19 Canada 7Kg            2016
Pathfinder-1 USA 50Kg        2016
ALSAT-2B Algeria 120Kg      2016
ALSAT-1B Algeria 110Kg      2016
ALSAT-1N Algeria 7 Kg        2016

If so, ISRO has to accommodate all these on C35 & C36. :)

Thx

[Sivan] said that the Indian satellite will be a co-passenger to an Algerian satellite."Both the satellites will be put into different orbits. So the fourth stage/engine of the rocket will be switched off after ejecting ScatSat first. Then after a gap of around 30 minutes, the engine will be switched on and put the Algerian satellite into its intended orbit," Sivan said

PSLV C35 to launch "by the second week of September" with Scatsat-1, Pisat, Pratham plus 5 "foreign satellites" (Blacksky Pathfinder-1, Alsat-2B and possibly NLS-19, Alsat-1B an Alsat-1N)

I believe NLS 19 is not a satellite, but refers to Nanosatellite Launch Service, which includes a number of small satellites.

Correct. It might be a single satellite or several satellites. Possibly it is CanX-7.

The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C35) mission is scheduled between September and November. It will launch ResourceSat 2A satellite into a low-Earth orbit and ScatSat 1 satellite into higher geostationary orbit besides two satellites developed by students and four international satellites.

I guess the reference to GEO for Scatsat is a typo. It should be SSO as the slide posted above indicates.
