Aleksandr Kirilin from TsSKB-Progress has told to Interfax that the second Resurs-P will be launched in 4Q/2014, the third - early 2016.

Hmm.... TsSKB Progress mentioned last month that this satellite is ready to be shipped, yet as of today nothing has been reported about it going to Baikonur. Are there still any chance of it going off in December?  :-\

Also is it going to the same orbital plane as #1, or will it use another plane?

Am I the only one who thinks that meeting the December 10 launch date seems.....tight?  ::)

Launch is planned on December 26 at 19:00 UTC: http://itar-tass.com/kosmos/1593486

I wonder if it will be "live" - that would make my Christmas!

The spacecraft is being tested at MIK-112: http://www.federalspace.ru/21151/

What is the planned orbital configuration of the 4 satellites of the Resurs-P system? (i.e. how many orbital planes are planned?)

Originally there was to be just Resurs-P № 1 and № 2.
Some information here:-
http://www.geomatica.ru/pdf/2013_02/2013_02_66-69.pdf
The first two are expected to survive for 5 years; whilst № 3, № 4 and № 5 up to 7 years. So with № 1 having launched in 2013, and № 4 due in 2018, is № 4 the replacement for № 1?

Is it too early to ask if we will have live coverage of the launch?
