Happy Christmas 2008 and Happy New Year 2009
« on: 12/17/2008 03:04 pm »
I would like to start a thread to wish everyone a happy christmas and a happy new year.

Also, how long will the site shut down for over the holidays?

Shutdown?!?!??!  I am counting onthis site being up over the holidays (especially once the kids finish unwrapping everything, I am going to need this so I can get my usual space fix... please tell me there are no plans to shut down???  ;)

And to you and everyone who visits this site too.

Shutdown? The internet doesn't shutdown for holidays ;) And we'll be working through.

There's lot of articles in work, added to Ariane 5's launch on the 20th, the Russian launch on the 25th. Have some reserve L2 content to go on (big powerpoint stuff we have to convert and republish), so we'll use this holiday period for that.

And before anyone says "For pity's sake, don't spend every hour on the site you sad man" fear not, I have family stuff planned, and several appointments with Mr Beer. And like any good Yorkshireman, I can handle my beer, so any breaking news, I'll be around, as opposed in incapacitated ;D

Merry Christmas everyone. Get some rest, as I have a feeling it's going to be a busy 2009 for NSF!!  :)

All the best for the New Year.

And a big thank-you to:

Chris Bergin for hosting a great site this past year, and some spectacular articles.

Ford Mustang for his thread cutting, live updates, along with his team for MaxQ videos.

Anik and Jacques for their extension coverage of ESA/Russian postings.

For Ron, psloss, rkoenn, Jorge, rdale, padrat, tankmodeler, AnalogMan, 10W29, bobthemonkey, Chuck, Ross, Chris Gebhardt, iamlucky13, marsavian, (and anyone else I missed) for all their great insight.

The guys behind the scenes bringing the L2 gang some out of this world information, documentation, and pictures.

The Direct team for all their hard work and quick responses throughout the year.

To those who help put me in my place and nudge me in the right direction.

And to Jim, for his no-nonsense responses  :)

Cheers to all!

That's for the 'British' among us...   :)

But either works.

We use both, but "Happy" Christmas seems more natural to us. Speaking of which, same to you all :)

Quick question, but why is the word "Christmas" seemingly adsent from all US sites I've been to? It's all "Happy Holidays" ???

Our country is overrun by political "correctness". They even call Christmas Trees "Holiday Trees" in some parts of the country ::)
