The ads on that shuttle look to be a good 20-30 million dollars per launch worth of advertising space. Given todays budget issues, it, along with the ISS ticket lottery I proposed, may be necessary.

Keep in mind that such activities have a habit of destroying private markets (why advertise on a private craft when there's space on the Shuttle?) and that it'd be but a sliver of the Shuttle costs, especially during any Shuttle extension.
