At Manchester and La Cienega. Looks like they'll be at CSC around 8pm local. Route map here:

It's just a bit larger than my hat!  Heading East on Arbor Vita near 405 freeway.

Followed the rollout of ET-94 from 12:45 AM to 9:30AM walking with the procession for the first two miles and then driving ahead to intercept at key areas with overhead or unique vantages.  Roll at one point was well behind schedule with more obstacles than planned in the route.  Roll is still ongoing and I will catch it again this evening before sunset.

Map study of the route paid off, The reflection of the tank captured in Ballona Creek was due to finding a small bridge paralleling the transit route and walking the extra 1/4 mile to stake it out at 4:50 AM. Despite thousands coming out to watch no one else thought to go there, thus leaving me the only one to obtain that amazing image.

Watching the speeding traffic suddenly slow to a crawl as the bulk of the tank emerged on the bridge over Interstate 405 was amazing, The awesome spectacle captured the imagination of even jaded So Cal commuters.

It seems at one point I was within 10 feet of NSF'er catdlr but did not know it. ;)

Awesome images Helodriver. I was wondering when I was out there at MdR this morning how many NSF'ers I was in the presence of :)

Noticed in your overhead images that the LOX feedline is missing. Does anyone know if CSC was able to procure one, or if they will have to replace it with a mockup?

Wow Helodriver, you must have walk just past me on images 10 and 11 above.  Wish I could have said HI.  Your doing us such a great service with all your input to NSF.   Thanks.

I read somewhere that NASA still had most of the original removed parts, or equivalent spares, that were also donated along with the tank.

Some pics I took during yesterday's parade. I spent the whole day following ET-94 from Arbor Vitae and The Forum in Inglewood to the lawn outside Endeavour's pavilion at the California Science Center. What an adventure!

Fantastic!  The photos here are better than the feature display they have at CSC about bringing Endeavour from LAX--once again a "like" doesn't convey my/our appreciation to all!  Felt like I was there (as a photographer, the reflection shots are my fav, not that it matters).

One last batch of ET-94 chasing pics from the move up Vermont Avenue to the Expo center. Would have posted these last night but after 30 hours of straight awake time, I needed the break. :)  overall it was an excellent adventure, taking me to LA neighborhhds Id never visited, meeting fellow space geeks, astronauts, and being near (if not actually directly meeting) fellow NSFers.

The image of the tank crossing in front of the Challengers youth club I found particularly poignant.

Hi Helodriver,  Thanks for your picture (#024).  Now I'll recognize you for the next time.  Probably when a FS Falcon arriving on a barge at San Pedro.  Enjoyed your shots and angles.  Makes the event personal.  Tony

Thanks to all of you who documented this fascinating spectacle for those of us who live way too far away to come and see it for ourselves.

I will say, I was impressed by one of my local TV channels here in Minneapolis, this morning.  On their local news, they not only had a short item on ET-94's parade through the streets, the banner that ran under the story and on the "coming up" bumper read "ET-94 Moves to New Home."  It's refreshing to see a local news organization that doesn't feel the need to talk down to its viewers, since most news directors would dumb it down to "Space Shuttle Fuel Tank Rolls Through Streets" or something like that.

I do wish I had been able to be there.  It's something like this that gives you a better feel for the actual size of this hardware!

Great to see the folks turn out and express the continued "Shuttle-love"! :-* I can't see anything on the horizon as a space vehicle that will have the same effect on the average citizen. I've been fortunate to have seen the entire human space flight history live as it happened. That's one good thing about being older I guess... Thank you to all for the great coverage and maybe some day I'll get to see the finished exhibit. Well done! :)

Thanks TheFallen,  these are great as well.  Like how you get the public evolved in your shots.  The one from the roof top was fun.

The external tank has arrived! What's next for L.A. space shuttle display
http://www.collectspace.com/news/news-052316a-et94-external-tank-what-next.html

"After everyone got a few hours sleep, the move continued this morning," wrote Dennis Jenkins, the Science Center's project director for its space shuttle Endeavour display, in an email sent on Sunday. "We now have ET-94 [parked] in its temporary storage location beside the pavilion housing Endeavour."

"[A] permanent fence will go up on Tuesday (May 24), then we will begin restoring the tank so that it can take its place in the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center," Jenkins said.
