interesting, the dry lakebed runways at Edwards are closed, must be wet.  Not that big of a deal though, as they only sue concrete ones nowadays. Not sure why it was mentioned.
The lakebed runways wouldn't be used for nominal cases but are still available as ELS runways.  (Not in their current condition.)

Speaking of loss of Ku, will the STORRM DTO use Ku (and thus we don't get to watch some amazing orbital flying)?  Sure hope there are station assets to give us the goods!
