How long did the actual firing last?

Watch the video, it appears quite successful to me. Looks like it actually went over 2 seconds on several viewings.

Thanks for the video link, Josh. I couldn't connect to the webcast.

All thanks goes to dxrt on #space (irc.freenode.net), I was trying to record it like I did the first one but was unsuccessful. But you're definitely welcome, I wanted to watch it again. :)

(I've watched it fire about 6 times now, so far.)

curious
if they do have to do another static fire test..for the first stage's TEA-TEB ignitor system, how do they recharge the system..is it unlimited?
jb

Not unlimited but plenty of opportunities exists.   They could recycle and be ready to do the static test again on Monday.

Did you notice in the video that F9 appears to have a "twang" of its own when it ignites? Rocks left and right slightly from that viewpoint.

Hooray!  ;D

I saw that too, and it's not the camera wobbling.

Unable to get a video feed at all at current location. That's why I asked.

Ok, thanks to PT for the screenshots and everyone who joined in. Appreciate the patience from the people struggling with continued webcast issues from SpaceX (although this one seemed a bit better than yesterday).

We'll have a live thread for the launch attempt next week.

With first attempt; it looks like the gaseous Ox purge (first stage) was not [fully] closed during the last few seconds before T-0.

What if it was in fact an MVac pump chill vent?

There were white pufs off the interstage vent , 2-3 seconds before T-0 (first attempt).

Second time around, there was none.

Edit: there was voice exchange from test control, right after first abort, with "ox purge" in it.
