Stream announcer going through the possibility of noctilucent clouds resulting from this launch.
It seems that no-one's awake here to help with screenshots so here's the webcast link posted again for your reference:  ;)
I'll join in with screenshots just as soon as Puush's servers start working again...

Liftoff!

... and, after a very quick pitch maneuver, it's behind cloud cover :(

Pretty sure I heard "SRB-A" something, so it sounds like burnout and sep went to schedule.

Might've been something about the fairing just now.

Plus side, this is great footage of the Tanegashima coast :P

Several hours to go until S/C sep, so hopefully our Japanese friends will keep us informed here and we'll look forward to a successful conclusion!

Seeing that the 2nd stage isn't painted the ascent profile is probably that of the standard GTO one, so spacecraft separation should come at T+30 minutes or so.

Boostback and LANDED! ;)

The H-IIA must have one heck of an ability to transform itself into the old H-II used in the 1990s while falling back.  ;)
