Thanks, Occupymars!  Your work finding and posting this content to share with the broader and global space-interested audience is much appreciated.

I'm a bit surprised that after 509 "reads" of this thread by this date and time, no one  has taken the time to say "thanks" with a simple click of the "Like" button.

Come on folks. :o

When I invented Nanoracks back in 2006, this is precisely what I had in mind - affordable and easy to build Nanoracks modules.  At the time, ISS experiments were all pretty much custom built, and each one was different like snowflakes.

I knew in 2006 that the existence of CubeSATs meant that standardized modules were possible, but ArduLab takes this even further using Arduino based components.

Thanks Danderman, for the NanoRacks componentry concept, and pushing it through.  It has definitely accelerated ease of use for getting payloads into space, as many of us argue on these forums from time to time.

However, even with the widespread and positive change we've all seen in the high tech field as a result of hardware and software components over the past couple of decades, and NanoRacks (and hopefully soon, ArduLab) in the space sector, ...

... I predict with high certainty that a number of the folks who are deep in traditional ways of doing things in space won't get it.

(one example:  when arguing that SpaceX radically lower price for flying fast turnaround, modularized payloads that optimize use of the launch pad on these fora, there are always some who argue that it won't change much; primary payload sat requirements will be king as they have been in the past; ways of doing things will pretty much just keep on keeping on; launch tempo can't pick up by much; etc. )

It is tiresome; but quite predictable.   :o
