His there anyone here that is going to cover this launch? This is a military launch, but is there any idea about a possible launch profile?

I'll keep an eye on things, but I'm giving the Delta most of my attention.

As for flight profile, most rumours are that this is a GSO launch, however the limited facts we have suggest LEO.  We'll have to wait and see.

If everything went well, there is a Proton-M flying right now in Baykonur... let's wait for news from the Cosmodrome...

Launch confirmed by RIA-Novosti at http://www.rian.ru/technology/cosmos/20071209/91532252.html

According with the news about the launch published by RIA-Novosti, the new satellite should separete from the Briz-M at 0917UTC.

That time would be consistent with a GTO launch.

This satellite works in wider wave band, frequencies.
