Sea Dragon Rocket 3D model w 123D Design
« on: 04/10/2015 01:50 am »

From July 2014, but I haven't seen it posted here on NSF so I expect there's some modellers who haven't seen it and will find it interesting.

Great work by Emory Stagmer (aka @VAXHeadroom). Flight Software Lead for NASA's LCROSS program and all around nice guy.
Human spaceflight is basically just LARPing now.

In the last 5 minutes Emory shows us his 3d printed model.

Wow.  I have never heard of this monster of a rocket.  The size is just hard to get my head around.  That tiny Apollo capsule on top of his model gives a great idea of the scale.  And an S-II stage would fit  inside the engine bell!

Thanks for that video.
