Discovery is the first one I've seen in person, I plan eventually to see Atlantis and Endeavour for sure. But I'd love to go back to see Discovery again.
Thanks for the pics. We were there a week ago. That was the closest I'd been to an orbiter, and it was striking to see all the details up close, like tile serial numbers, APU purge port, landing gear brake lines, etc.
... but who knows if a kid gets taken to see her and then ends up being inspired to become the first astronaut on Mars.That's where it's worth it all.
Indeed. "These ladies" have inspired us most when they were flying. But that's all part of our memories now. Let's keep those memories alive!
