There is no webcast schedule. This is a military launch, so I doubt also any TV station will broadcast the launch.

Yes, there will be commission at Plesetsk tomorrow, which should decide to launch or to postpone.

The launch has been postponed indefinitely due to the grounding of the whole Soyuz rocket fleet.

According to Reuters, the launch may go forward based on the result of additional safety checks.

So let's be clear on this.

Right now, the launch could still happen today (GMT Friday). They are currently carrying out checks, in order to make a decision on launching today?

I assume there's a translation error with "decade"?

Actually, I think "first decade" means the first ten days of September.

does anybody know why?? technical info?

I'm asking because we are launching a 2.1b from CSG soon and i'm trying to keep taps on this....

2.1b doesn't use a rd0110 so that should be ok, unless something is going on...

I have no informations about this, but I guess there is little chance that the root cause of the RD-0110 failure is due to a propellant contamination, as it was the case on Proton-K on 27th may 1993. In this case, there is a risk for every launcher, whatever the version...

Does that mean that this year's launch-window for Phobos-Grunt may come and go without a launch taking place?

If there is a generic problem at Baikonur that precludes launch of Zenit-Fregat, then Phobos-Grunt will be the least of the problems ahead.

they would have had better PR to show a live launch from Plesik than have some fool pic of a Proton launch (or are my eyes going)

Russian military launches generally don't have much live coverage. They aren't doing it for PR.

This launch is a mixed civil/military launch but as it was held from a military space center there was not live cover.

Still, it's the first Soyuz booster launch since the Progress failure [right?], even if there is no upper stage commonality. It's another step back to confidence.

Thanks guys. I've put on a short article, including some L2 notes on the Progress failure, and added a Soyuz overview via William Graham:
