Thanks blister. Looks like someone took Charles Vick's drawing and decided to call that very large speculative launch vehicle Unha 9. However, all the photo shows of Unha 9 is that it is an Unha 3 with a first stage stretch of 2 m. It may well be that Unha 9 has a larger diameter, or it may look completely different. We probably won't know until North Korea releases some photos of the actual Unha 9 launch vehicle.
Unha 10 from 2017 to launch geostationary satellites and crewed vehicles. Mass of 400 t.

It's a little disappointing to be honest.Disappointing? Sorry, but that really annoyed me. You do realize the implications of this launch being a success? There's plenty of info on the vehicle in this thread, but it would be stupid to say the least not to expect some posts on the regional - and potentially global - instability such a launch would cause, when at "best" it's a communist state of oppression arm waving for international funding to "behave", which it'll only spend on building its military. At worst they are looking for a war to detract the attentions its staving and dying millions from internal problems and potential revolution. It's disappointing if there's anyone on here 'wanting' this to be a successful launch, as the implications would be seriously bad.
