The ISS computer system is different from Mir; ironically, this makes ISS use of Progess more complicated than on Mir because the ISS European computer cannot interface directly with Progress, matching units must be installed in the control loop every time a Progress docks.
Right, but difficult or not, Progress is already routinely integrated into ISS attitude control when present. So how would using the MLM, in addition to or instead of the occasionally present Progress, be more difficult ?

Of course, when possible it may be desirable to use Progress anyway, to preserve service life of the thrusters installed on the permanent modules.
