My girlfriend's friend's grandma lives in Ukraine and she gave him this Russian Izvestia newspaper page from April 12 1961. It's about Yuri Gagarin, but he can't read Russian very well, so we don't know what it says. It would be cool to get it translated at some point, if someone is interested I could ask for a higher quality scan as I took these quickly with my phone. There are also places that sell hi-res images for 20$ or so, from what I've seen. Anyhow, his plan is to frame it in the future.
Personally, I think the graphics are pretty cool!

That's very nice and good to see :)

Do you mind if we share these with some people? I'm in some various communist discussion groups on the internet and several of them would have an interest in this.

Hi
Here you can get .pdf or .djv for digital translation by yourself http://publ.lib.ru/ARCHIVES/I/%27%27Izvestiya%27%27/_%27%27Izvestiya%27%27.html#1961 Look for #88
Generaly I can do the translation but the English typing is not my horse to ride...
So, may be some important parts or so.
