So I'm starting this update thread (which will be the launch thread) - refer to the discussion threads for coverage and discussion to this point.

Now on the books in the L2 flow info for this one as March 21 NET (as we know), with a window 1604-1704 Local (Eastern - check your timezones due to daylight savings and such coming into effect). A sign things are going well in the flow is the Static Fire Test date being set (albeit a NET, obviously) of March 17.

March 21 NET. Window 1604-1704 Local (Eastern - remember to check this time locally, per the clocks changing at different times around the world).

20.04 to 21.04 UTC, for those who know where they are relative to UTC, but are not keeping track of American timezones.

Static fire hazard area has been posted. https://i.imgur.com/DkUcbf6.png

Usually a day slip or so to the test as the flow aligns, but so far all on track! We expect them to hit a review milestone today, so we'll then know if the Static Fire is still on for tomorrow. That hazard map looks like they are very much still on for Tuesday's Static Fire!

Obvious, but the interesting part for me is how they are finding a strong and solid pace. Anyway, will update when I see the master schedule later.

Edit: Yep. Still on for Tuesday!

Overnight update: Changing the title to NET March, as the 21st is in doubt now, as is the Static Fire. They are working on a F9 issue. Note I'm saying in doubt, as opposed to actually slipping - but I'd be surprised if the F9 rolls out for the Static Fire today (as much as I like surprises).

SpaceX's March 21 launch delayed to March 28 at earliest, due to launcher-related issues. Launch is of Turkmenistan telecom satellite.

Was hoping it wasn't as much as a week, but there you go.

I'm probably going to replace what was going to be a Static Fire article with a round up of SpaceX activities...might take me until tomorrow to finish it, based on other work I've got on, but the reason for the delay (the issue) is interesting in that the context would show there's no "launch fever" within SpaceX, despite them launching a lot.

In addition to this: there is another launch in between the original launchdate and the new NET (GPS IIF-9, on a Delta-IV-M, from SLC-37B, on March 25th). Range requires a few days to reconfigure their support from one type of launch vehicle to the other.
With that in mind there is probably only one or two days for SpaceX to fix the problem. Given the nature of the problem (L2), that's probably not enough, hence the delay until after the Delta IV launch.

Cause of launch slip:

< jeff_foust> Shotwell: issue with helium pressure bottles is cause of F9 launch slip. No timetable for #satshow

Another update via Twitter/@pbdes:

SpaceX likely won't launch next (commercial Turkmenistan telecom sat) until 1st half of April as it works launcher/helium tank issues.

And another one:

Correction: Next SpaceX launch likely delayed to LATE April (not early April) as co wrestles with 1st, 2d stage helium tank issue.

More via Jeff Foust at SatShow 2015, qoute from Barry Matsumori:

Jeff Foust ‏@jeff_foust  23m23 minutes ago
Matsumori: still working with the customer on the extent of the delay, so declining to give a timetable for the launch. #satshow

Jeff Foust ‏@jeff_foust  23m23 minutes ago
Matsumori: didn’t find problem with F9 that was to launch Sat, but instead an “anomaly” in factory; decided to be “careful” #satshow

They've arranged a date, per the L2 flow updates. April 24 NET.

Looks like the Turkmensat core is getting RMA'd?

Quote from: Ben Brockert ‏@wikkit
Took north route through CCAFS today, only to turn around and drive all the way around because the Falcon 9 is being hauled from the pad.

Do we know if the satellite was encapsulated back in mid-March, or whether it is encapsulated right now?

And of course someone may try to see if April 24 is still holding right now....

At CRS-6 post launch press conference Hans Koenigsmann was asked if April 24 was still good, given that there was a day delay for weather on CRS-6.  He answered they were still currently on target for April 24.

The Falcon 9 for this launch was moved back into the hangar just a few hours after CRS-6 left the pad.

Did they separate the stages and payload before they cleared the HIF for CRS-6?
If so, then getting it all put back together and checked out ready for static-fire roll-out in 6 days seems quite impressive if they can pull it off.
