ISS Live Feed + ISS Lunar 'Eclipse' video
« on: 05/28/2015 07:00 pm »
Hello,

Hopefully I'm posting to the right forum. I just found the 'ISS onLive' cam app for my phone last night (shows orbit of the ISS over earth and a video feed to boot), had it on 24-7 since then. Thinking of getting a projector to put on a wall to show the feed. So I showed it to a friend who isn't interested in space at all and he asked the question 'what would the ISS look like when it flies over?' This was the very first question that came to MY mind when I saw the app as well.

To answer that I watched a vid of the ISS fly overhead, I thought it was tiny and lost interest in looking at the ISS without a telescope, but I'm still interested in what the ISS is looking at. I only hope my friend gains this wonder. I told him honestly 'its tiny, not much bigger than a star' ... I should've said shooting star, I should've shut up and let him wonder.

Hopefully my story helps you in some way. I'll show him a video of the ISS almost traveling 'over' the moon and leave it at that.
