That landing looked like some kind of Sci Fi affect.   Plasma, molten metal, hypersonic flight.

What's not to love.

Congrats to all and looking forward to the next one.

Loved the fireworks!  Congrats to SpaceX, customer, USAF and of course the intrepid NSF coverage crew.  This never gets old....

Everything is routine now except those last 10 seconds before launch, the first ten minutes after launch, and that landing!

Congratulations, SpaceX and SES, y'all are never boring.  15 launches this year, now go make a liar out of me!

Well done to SpaceX, SES and the guys on the Eastern Range for another entirely routine launch and recovery.

That core re-entry tho! Plasma trail from the base of the spacecraft, molten debris coming off and the grid fins glowing red-hot. I have to say that when they lost signal and didn't get it back, I thought that she'd broken up or something!

I do not see number 31 on the rocket. Have they cleaned it? Or have I missed it?

It was never there to begin with. It was in that first batch of cores with painted numbers, and it looks like they just skipped this one.

Thanks to Steven, Chris2 for the coverage.

Chris and Chris don't multiply together (as far as I know), they just add. So, thanks to Steven and Chris*2.

Oh, and congrats to SpaceX for quieting the doubters.

And they have painted a number 21 for the second launch.

Looks like they caught the reentry burn at 1:14 into the video.

According to MarineTraffic.com Go Quest, and presumably OCISLY, are less than an hour from port and heading in.
