Don't know if this fits (or where). FWIW.

GoPro keeps recording as it's melted by Hawaiian lava

SX has used them for fairing recovery videos.

Had been asked once to use one to record an engine test for a new outlet. Now I can tell them how that will fair.

Like the part where it was recovered with a geologist's rock hammer, and they had to strike off the lava to remove the memory chip, which was intact. (When you fire solids, you get some "slag spit", and with LRE's bits of nozzle sometimes.)
