Roscosmos wanted us to put that on the crew patch, so why not call it that way ?? It is the new Soyuz TMA-M spacecraft design, but the Soyuz capsule that will fly in space is TMA-01M...
In a way, it's logical: Russians have never put a "1" in the name of their spacecraft (Vostok, Voskhod, Kvant, Soyouz, etc.)
