"All is not so quiet in the International Space Station with the newly installed Russian Mini Research Module (MRM-1), also called Rassvet (Dawn), creating a lot of noise, according to ISS commander Alexander Skvortsov. The module is the noisiest unit of the space station,” Skvortsov said answering a question sent through the ISS Mail Box placed at the Memorial Space Museum for any visitor to send a letter to astronauts."

Okay, why is Rassvet so noisy?

Well this was noted a few months ago:

Still not sure why. My thought would be circulation fans: they're always noisy.

That would be my thought, too.  Every module has a different noise level.  Most of it is due to different styles of fans running at different speeds and there are different numbers of fans in each module.  It is interesting to hear the audio as crew does a full tour of the ISS, since you can really notice it as they translate it.

We actually have different fan speeds for the same type of fan (Cabin Fan) in each US module partly due to noise constraints.

When the last crew left ISS, their Soyuz undocked from MRM-1, so there was a lot of imagery of the Rassvet interior.
